At the First Spark
When I first started My Energy Flow, my intention was to sell saunas. I didn’t know too much about them at the time, but after several weeks of research into various niches I personally resonated with, I landed on what made sense to me then. It’s strange how you can have a plan and a clear intention, yet life finds a way to steer you in the direction you were meant to go.
I have always had a passion for helping people become better—whether through coaching, listening, or simply being a good friend. There has always been a magnetic pull toward understanding people beyond the surface: what moves them, what drives them, and why they do what they do. I’m deeply curious about the individual journey and the layers that make each of us who we are.
When the Path Resists
As we progressed with My Energy Flow in the early days, my excitement to easily connect and sell saunas was met with resistance. We faced many rejections and had to confront the reality that the market was—and still is—highly saturated. Our naïve dreams and thirst for momentum were being tested.
Along the way, we decided to explore partnerships beyond saunas. Part of that decision came from necessity, but another part came from a deeper inner voice that encouraged me to surrender and follow. Slowly, we began to gain traction. We connected with early adopters who were more curious about us than immediately excited to partner. I think many of them were simply giving us a chance—and we took it.
Listening Beyond the Plan
As we learned more about other wellness modalities—such as red light therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, and whole-body vibration—something interesting began to unfold. I started to realize how far we’ve advanced in technology, health, wellness, and longevity, and how rapidly this field is growing.
It felt as though we were entering a moment where the collective consciousness was shifting and people were becoming more intentional about their health and well-being. In many ways, this realization echoed an earlier reflection I shared on choosing to do hard things and how those moments quietly expand our awareness.
The Compass That Never Left
Years before My Energy Flow—roughly five years back—I completed my Ikigai. Ikigai is a Japanese concept meaning “a reason for being.” It represents the intersection of what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for.
When I completed mine, three pillars stood out: to create, to explore, and to awaken people to their highest potential. Those pillars became my compass, yet I didn’t know how to act on them. Life moved on, and so did I.
Foundations Before Flow
My background in civil engineering taught me the importance of first principles. Before building anything meaningful, you must ensure the foundation is sound. That insight brought a critical question to the forefront: were these wellness modalities truly foundational?
This question brought me back to something deeply personal: the practice of slowing down and being present. I reflected on an earlier moment I shared in living in the present moment , where clarity emerged not through effort, but through attention.
Knowing Thyself
That realization led us to restructure My Energy Flow around three pillars: personalized testing to understand who you are, expert guidance to interpret that data, and wellness modalities as supportive tools—not shortcuts.
What began as a plan to sell saunas has transformed into something far more meaningful. As the saying goes, “man plans, and God laughs.” In my case, I think He may have fallen off His chair—and for that, I am deeply grateful.
From my heart,
Pedram Beheshti
