The CL4G expands to approximately 80 inches wide and accommodates up to 3 bathers. For buyers looking for a modern 2-person outdoor sauna with a smaller backyard footprint, the CL3G is the more compact choice.
Yes. The CL3G is designed as an outdoor sauna kit. Its thermally enhanced Thermo-Spruce construction is paired with a shingle roof system and drip rails for outdoor water management. The wood still requires routine care, and SaunaLife recommends applying a suitable wood preservative at least once per year, or more often when conditions require it.
Yes. The installation manual states that the door must open outward, but the door can be rotated 180 degrees during installation if you want the handle on the opposite side. This provides added flexibility when planning the entrance around your patio, deck, or backyard layout.
SaunaLife recommends treating the wood with a suitable preservative at least once per year and checking hardware periodically as the wood responds to changes in heat and moisture. Avoid paints, varnishes, harsh disinfectants, pressure washing, and excessive running water. Stubborn marks may be lightly sanded before the wood is re-treated with an appropriate product.
Wipe the benches and other wood surfaces with a clean, damp cloth rather than spraying them with water. SaunaLife then recommends allowing the surfaces to dry completely with proper ventilation. Its CL3G maintenance instructions also call for running the heater for at least 30 minutes with the vent open after cleaning to help dry the interior.
